The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) is known as the province’s economic immigration program. This program works in collaboration with the Canadian government through the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
The foreign workers, international students and others with the required skills, desired work experience and education credentials can apply to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) to obtain a nomination for the province.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) welcomes and nominates applicants for permanent residence who have the skills and experience according to the Ontario economy needs, and the Government of Canada makes the final decision to approve applications for permanent residence.
Overview Of Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program
As Ontario’s economic immigration program, the ONIP recognizes and nominates foreign nationals who have the skills and experience the Ontario economy needs for permanent residence.
In Ontario, There Are Three Ways You May Qualify:
1. Employer Job Offer Category: for workers who already have a permanent employment offer from an Ontario employer
2. Human Capital Category: for workers who have valuable work experience, education, language skills, and a profile in Canada’s Express Entry system; or for international graduates. There are two sub-categories, the first is the international graduate stream. The second is Ontario’s Express Entry streams, which includes:
1. French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream
2. Human Capital Priorities Stream
3. Skilled Trades Stream
3. Business Category: for entrepreneurs looking to start a business or buy an existing business in Ontario.
What Is The Eligibility For Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) ?
• The applicant must ensure that while processing under Ontario provincial Nominee program the applicant should have the desired CRS score.
• The applicant should be ready with either a Bachelor’s, PhD or Master’s from a Canadian education institution or have an ECA (Education Credential Assessment) report generated from a recognized institution providing proof that the foreign education level is equivalent with that of Canadian Master’s, PhD or Bachelor’s degree.
• At least minimum level of work experience.
• The applicant should show minimum proficiency level under Canadian Language Benchmark) level or beyond for all four abilities that are, speaking, writing, listening and reading.
• The applicant should show intention to stay in Ontario, by providing proof in form of intent and indication of ties to Ontario statement.
• The prospective candidate should have adequate personal funds to cover the cost of living in Ontario which should be backed by bank statements.
• Additional requirements set under CEC and FSWP category should be met fully.
